F&S transformed the dilapidated outdoor plaza into a public green meeting place. The plaza sits above a critical deteriorating underground vault. As part of this project, F&S demolished the existing plaza, performed required structural repairs to the vault below, waterproofed the vault and building envelope and rebuilt the plaza. F&S self-performed the installation of all architectural concrete, metal and stonework.

The existing granite façade panels were removed, stored off site and either re-installed and or repurposed. Granite panels not to be reinstalled were salvaged, cut and refinished by F&S to recreate new multi-landing stairs into the building. Significant value engineering was performed by F&S to develop less expensive architectural components such as the new precast concrete planters, new custom multi tiered stainless steel planters, custom stainless steel trench drains, a custom cable railing. The project was documented and performed through the use of state of the art 3D imagining and modeling to reduce field work.
