F&S was hired to support the conversion to energy-efficient, cost-reducing LED fixtures of the rooftop lighting systems that illuminate Grand Central Terminal. This work included the construction of scaffolding systems for the safe demolition of the obsolete lighting and platforms and the construction of a new lighting platform to support and maintain the lighting assemblies. F&S contracting self-performed the scaffolding, demolition, structural steel, concrete and roofing work. F&S also managed the aggressive fast track project.
