As a result of Hurricane Sandy, this 100% occupied building was filled with water and contaminants to the lobby level for days. The building lost all of its critical infrastructure including but not limited to all electrical switchgear and services and the emergency generator both located in the cellar. F&S rebuilt a EMF shielded new switchgear room on the 3rd floor. The service was routed through the building to the 3rd floor. This required new structural steel to support the load from the new F&S installed concrete encased service. A new generator was installed on the 4th floor along with all associated fuel piping from the cellar and new steel dunnage. The new fuel lines were encased in a 2-hour soffit through occupied areas of the building.
